IEEE WIFS is the major scientific event addressing all topics related to Information Forensics and Security aspects in a broad sense, organized by the IEEE Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee (IFS-TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. It brings together academic researchers, government agencies and industrials to discuss emerging challenges, exchange fresh ideas and share state-of-the-art results and technical expertise in all disciplines associated with Information Forensics and Security.

The 18th edition of the IEEE International Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS) 2026, jointly organized by General Chairs Rémi Cogranne (Troyes University of Technology) and Minoru Kuribayashi (Tohoku University). The conference will be held in Sakura Hall, in the historical Katahira Campus of Tohoku University, within walking distance from Sendai City center. Sendai City, known as the 'City of Trees', offers natural beauty, historical depth, and modern convenience, including sites such as the Zuihoden Mausoleum, Osaki Hachimangu Shrine and Rinoji temple, along with local specialities like gyutan, fresh seafood sushi, and ramen.
